Strength & Durability of PVC Pipe
PVC Pipes are strong and durable despite their relatively low weight. This makes PVC Pipes suitable for all types of long-term applications including domestic water, sewerage, stormwater, and deep underground piping systems. It stays strong through a range of temperatures resulting in fewer burst pipes and other maintenance issues.
PVC-O PIPES ARE TOUGHER THAN THEIR DUCTILE IRON COMPETITORS IN EXTREME FIELD TESTING

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) Pipes and DI (Ductile Iron) Pipes both offer the benefits of relatively high tensile strengths, burst pressures, and crushing loads. However, our closer look proves that the real strength in the pipes market are PVC-O Pipes.
Under normal circumstances PVC Pipes possess high resistance to impact damage when compared to pipes made from clay, concrete, and most other conventional materials. Even though PVC Pipes do exhibit a reduction in impact strength at very low temperatures the impact strength remains more than adequate, usually exceeding that of alternate pipe materials. The long-term tensile strength is twice that of iron, steel, or other thermoplastic pipe material.
